What a nutrient solution is
In hydroponics, plants get their nutrients from a solution: water with a nutrient product dissolved in it as the label directs. The product is the maker's.
The label decides
Nutrient products, pH adjusters, and cleaning products are the maker's. Follow the label for mixing, handling, storage, and disposal, and keep them out of reach of children and pets.
Containers and children
Keep nutrient products, pH adjusters, and cleaning products in their original containers and out of reach of children and pets.
Words on the label
Words such as complete, balanced, or plant food on a nutrient label are the maker's terms. We do not check them or compare products.
What we do not give
We do not give mixing ratios, ppm or EC targets, or pH numbers. Results vary.

FAQ
General information only. Water and electricity are a dangerous mix: keep plugs, cords, and connections away from water and follow every maker's instructions. CPSC says a GFCI "is designed to protect people from severe or fatal electric shocks" and to test every GFCI "At least once a month." Use a qualified electrician for any wiring. Keep nutrients and other chemicals away from children and pets. In an emergency, call 911.
